Quickie Review

3.5 Stars for Spell Bound by Rachel Hawkins:
The first two in the series really blew me away. But this one, only so so. Tried to fit too much into one book I think and as a result not as developed as the others. Also (and not usually possible) too much snark for a much more serious book. BUT after saying all that you really should go get the first one in the series because Sophie Mercer is just one of those characters to die for. She is witty, personable, and human in every sense of the word without being human at all.

YA Lunchroom Must Read: Witchblood by Emma Mills

Hola mis amigos!
I apologize for the delay in the announcement of the St Patty's Day winners, but I had some loss of internet over the weekend while traveling.  (aka iPAD hates blogger)
So without further ado... the two lucky winners of ecopies of Reveal are............
Drea and Tina B! Congrats ladies! I hope you enjoy your time with Hugh and Shay!

Ok, so onto other things... so as many of you know I've joined an author's group, with other young adult authors. Throughout the next few weeks I'll be highlighting some of their books. Now this doesn't mean I've read all of them, so they may not be your taste but there written by a really cool group of gals. Here is a look at the first!

Witchblood by Emma Mills

Description: When Jess steals a glance at a gorgeous guy in a Manchester nightclub, little does she realize how he is going to change her life…or should that be death? Yet, the vampire clan could never have predicted what they were taking on.

With Luke pronounced ‘off-limits’ and the blood of a vampire simmering in Jess’s body, can she forget the love of her life and move on? If not, she will risk exposing the entire Northern vampire clan to untold dangers, in order to live her life the way she wants.

Can Jess be sure that Luke is all he appears to be? Will she succumb to the attraction she desperately tries not to feel for Daniel? And why does she still crave a packet of crisps more than a tasty teenage boy’s blood?

Why I think you should read it: The cover is sick, period.

St Patricks Day Blog Hop

This blog hop is hosted by Carrie Ann Ryan

So we're supposed to write about St. Pat's day, and although I have zero good drinking stories, I have a GREAT teaching story from yesterday. My friend Steph and I decided to play a little trick on my first graders and wreck my room as a mischievous little leprechaun might have. Then she had the brilliant idea of making leprechaun footprints leading to my sink and dropping some paint in to say to the kids that he must have jumped down.  Do you know that not only did they believe it and love it, but then they started "seeing" him too. Finally one of my kids said he was in his backpack and he was taking him home to show his mom.  I laughed so hard!
But karma will come to get ya. I forgot to clean up the prints! Oops hope the paint doesn't stick too well!

So now for the exciting news, some prizesssssss.

Grand Prize 1: Winner's Choice of a Kindle Fire or Nook Tablet
