Don't look at me like someone died, I am totally ok.
So ok in fact I hope to have two books done in the next two months.
But I think you ought to know why I lost my job, for the second time in two years.
Watch thisIt's not as long as you think, and it tells the story that so many have been hearing lately in PA. "I'm sorry but no your kid doesn't really matter to me."
Guess what? THEY DO.Your kid is amazeballs, your niece or nephew could be the next President. Your granddaughter may be the next Bach, but how will we ever know if she doesn't get to try? How will we ever know what any child is truly capable of, if we don't give them the chance?
That video is of a school less than two hours from me. My school isn't just cutting programs like those, we're cutting regular education teachers. People like me. People who teach kids how to read, how to love the written word. How to count on their fingers, and their toes.
People who do this.
I make a difference every day, even days I don't know it and for that, I am truly grateful.
I am fine. I promise, but someone needs to know, that our kids won't be, if we continue to go in the direction we are. Because it's not fair to them- or to OUR future.
